A Day by the Pool

The Cerulean has plenty of indoor space, but the best hours happen outside. Here's what a full day on the deck looks like.

Morning

Coffee on the veranda while the sun comes up over the water, then straight down to the beach for a swim before it gets hot. The water's calmest early.

Midday

Back up to the pool. The pergola throws shade over the loungers when the sun is high, so you can be by the water without cooking in it. Lunch off the grill, feet still wet.

Evening

This is when the deck earns its keep. As one guest put it, the pool-deck area is the high point of the whole property, with “unbelievable views.” Cook dinner in the outdoor kitchen, eat under cover as the light goes, and move to the fire pit when it's dark. The only soundtrack is the surf.

It's a rare setup on St. Croix — a private pool, a sandy beach, and room to entertain, all on one piece of coast. Most days here, you never need to leave it.
