Cruzan Rum Distillery
The historic working distillery behind the island's namesake rum, in the Nelthropp family tradition — guided tours with tastings, weekdays at 12:00, 1:30 and 3:00 by reservation.

Rum is St. Croix's oldest industry and the island still makes it at scale — Cruzan's family-lineage distillery on the west end, the Diageo plant that fills every bottle of Captain Morgan, and a newer distillery turning breadfruit into award-winning vodka. All three pour for visitors on weekdays; none run weekend tours, so plan a mid-week outing.

Not rum, but the island's craft brewery belongs on any drinks itinerary — rainwater-brewed beers in a daily tasting room.
