Taste of St. Croix & the Island's Food Calendar

For an island of its size, St. Croix eats far above its weight — and once a year the whole kitchen shows up in one place. Taste of St. Croix gathers dozens of the island's restaurants, chefs and food makers for a single evening of competitive generosity, with proceeds supporting island charities.

The big night

The format is simple and dangerous: stations everywhere, every kitchen bringing its best plate, and a crowd that flies in for it. In 2026 the event lands April 10 at Divi Carina Bay on the quiet southeast shore — an easy reach from the villa's side of the island. Tickets genuinely sell out; if your week overlaps, buy before you fly. It's the single best sampler of the island's restaurant bench, and a scouting mission for the rest of your dinners.

The rest of the food year

Crucian Christmas Festival (late December into early January) runs a proper food fair — the island's grandmothers and grill masters in competitive formation; go hungry and work the stalls. Agrifest (mid-February) is the agricultural fair, which means the food is the point: local produce, plates from farm kitchens, juices and sweets you won't find bottled. Both get their own guides — the festival and Agrifest — and quarterly Jump Up nights fill Christiansted's streets with vendors between them.

If your dates miss them all
